Rachel Rossin's Digital Homes- Art 21

Growing up in Florida there was a strata of chaos for Rachel Rosssin, she says he way of coping with this was necessary escapism. Her personal experience was breaking a lot of things and learning to fix them, which is "the best way to learn". There seems to be a long study of creating comfort in her work, through motion and familiarity, and composing the elements so they interact with each other.

Her point of using neutrality through navigating the internet seems to be a cornerstone of her experiences with this medium she uses in technology. There's a lot going on in her work, while remaining familiar; i wonder if that because of my own connection to technology and the internet. I feel that it might be jarring or inconceivable to my parents who are alien to the online world.

My favorite work of hers was the shields that she printed on plexiglass, and used he body to form them around her self, and the display of them with their shadow is a gorgeous aesthetic experience of these graphic designs. The next step, taking it beyond this physical experience to an experience with the AR that connect to it as well, and using physic shadow to create a transition there is really masterful of digital work, a level of consideration that i find very difficult in sculpture; successful transition.
